Dear Frida

This painting of Frida Kahlo depicts her love of animals and includes symbols from some of her famous works.

Frida Kahlo had polio as a child, and was seriously injured in a bus accident when she was 18. She married Diego Rivera, a man 20 years her senior. She had two monkeys, a parrot, three dogs, two turkeys, an eagle, a black cat and a fawn as pets.
