Golden Wattle

There are so many species of Acacias but the one I chose to paint was the Pycnantha, Australias national floral emblem, commonly known as the Golden Wattle.

The reason I chose this one, is that the bright yellow-gold wattle flowers remind me of the little pom-pom balls we used to make with wool as children!
