Mitch with Bieber Cut

Well, this was supposed to be oil study no 7 for Project 100, a painting of my son at ten years old. 

I was doing so well until I misplaced the mouth and teeth. Teeth are the hardest thing to paint because the position, size, angle, shape, colour and tone of each tooth is critical - any error will make or break a painting, and this painting was truly broken! The fix up took me an additional 3.5 hours, so I couldn't include it in my Project 100 as it breaks my 3 hour limit rule.

Putting in the extra time was necessary and worthwhile, as I now have a fabulous portrait of my son in a contemporary loose style!
